Andrew's Blessing Weekend

We blessed Andrew this weekend (June 18-19). It ended up being a little earlier than we had originally planned, because Grandpa Tom and Grandma Sandy are moving (boo!). We have early church, so did not take pictures beforehand; I knew this would prove to be a mistake, and it was, as Andy peed all over his cute little linen blessing suit before we could do pictures. So I need to wash it, and take pictures of him in it later. He was mighty handsome.

We had a nice dinner, complete with watermelon,

and chocolate cake with almond roux frosting

Grandma and Grandpa alternately snuggled and romped with the boys

We are SOO going to miss having them so near! It was a bittersweet weekend.

Rob and I met in Washington, DC during the summer of 2004. We went on a few great hikes together, and really enjoyed each other's company. But alot still had to happen before the time would be right for us to get together. In May of 2005, Rob organized a trip to Peru to hike the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. I went along with the group, and romance blossomed in the high Andes atmosphere. We were married December 10, 2005. The years immediately following our marriage were spent in Washington, DC, where Rob was finishing up his residency in otolaryngology. We then moved to Little Rock, AR, for a fellowship in pediatrics, and in September of 2008, our first little boy was born. After 15(!!!!!) years of education, Rob was unable to find any other way to delay getting a job, and we moved to Oklahoma. In May of 2011 our second son was born to annoy and entertain his big brother. These are the days!
